Anne-Bénédicte Houang is a photographer, storyteller, and educator based in Houston, Texas. She uses photography as a universal language driven by a sincere commitment to using her craft as a conduit for social change.
In recognition of her compassionate approach to the arts, she was nominated 2022 Artist of the Year in Visual Arts by Compassionate Houston. Anne is also a 2024 graduate of Artist INC Houston, a program facilitated by FreshArts and the Mid-America Arts Alliance.
Her work has been exhibited in the places she has called home and is shaped by her multicultural heritage and international experiences. Anne has worked as an art educator for the Houston Center for Photography and Fotofest and is the founder of Together Collaborative. She has also received support from the City of Houston through the Houston Arts Alliance for the Arts.
Currently, she is engaged in a personal project titled “The Road Home” that explores the concepts of zeitgeist, memory, and personal agency.
